Tips On Meets

No chalk needed, but don't forget hair stuff.
Below are a few tips and reminders for meets, before and during the meet itself. See your Team Handbook for more information. Gymnasts should:
· Have your gym bag, grips, competition
leotard, and gear ready the night before
· Get a good night's sleep; set your alarm
clock
· Be on time
· Be in full uniform & ready to go
· Hair in bun (see styling hair for gymnasts
and hair bun article)
· NO NAIL POLISH
· NO BLING/Jewelry (small stud earrings, okay)
· Don't forget (BIG jacket, pants, hair scrunchie)
In gym bag bring extra hair stuff just in case bun collapses, such as:
· Have your gym bag, grips, competition

Also bring:
· bottle of water
· little bag of snacks, chex mix, crackers, apple/orange slices.
(nothing that will make a mess)
Parents, make sure your gymnasts do all of the above, and you may also want to:
i) have driving directions ready;
ii) charge and bring your camera (remember no flash photos during routines);
iii) get a full tank of gas, and;
iv) bring cash for admission fee (usually $5-10), snacks, souvenirs, shout-outs,
and raffle tickets.
Also, don't forget to set your cell phones to vibrate or turn them off during the meet.
Most importantly, relax and have fun!

Meet Scores
Below is a Word document you can use to keep track of your gymnast's scores during the meet season. Open then save it as a new document on your computer. To view scores from prior meets, go to MeetScoresOnline, click on "Find Results" and enter your gymnast's name.
